Chose Your Musandam Destination

Musandam Oman has two main destinations. Khasab Musandam takes you deeper into the fjords. Dibba Musandam gets you on the water faster. Pick the day that fits your trip.

f0

Khasab Musandam – Deeper Into The Fjords

Khasab is the capital of Oman’s Musandam region, about 4 hours from Dubai through the Hajar mountains, deep inside the fjord system Lonely Planet calls the “Norway of Arabia.” You’ll cruise to Telegraph Island, swim in sheltered bays under cliffs over 1,000 meters tall, and most days see dolphins riding alongside the dhow. It’s the longer day, but it’s the more dramatic one.

Quick Facts:

📍 ~210 km · 3.5–4 hrs drive from Dubai
🛂 Al Dara border via Ras Al Khaimah
🛥 Full-day cruises, overnight dhows, mountain safari

f0

Dibba Musandam – Closer To Dubai

Dibba sits on the eastern coast of Musandam, just past Fujairah. The drive is shorter, about 2.5 hours from Dubai, and the WAM border is usually quieter than Al Dara. The cruise itself runs shorter too, but with more onboard activity packed in: banana boat, kayak, snorkeling stops, lunch on deck. It’s the better pick if you’re traveling with young kids, short on time or want more water activities.

Quick Facts:

📍 ~150 km · 2.5–3 hrs drive from Dubai
🛂 WAM border via Fujairah
🛥 Day cruise, dhow trips and resort stay

Musandam Tour From Dubai Experience

A Musandam tour from Dubai is more than a day trip, it’s a complete escape into one of the most dramatic natural landscapes in the Middle East. f0

Scenic Drive from Dubai to Musandam

The Musandam experience starts before you reach the water. From Dubai, the drive to Khasab takes around 3.5 hours through the Hajar Mountains, passing ancient wadis, rocky peaks and small Omani villages before the road drops down to the coast. The mountain scenery on the way is stunning and many of our guests say it is one of the best parts of the trip. Comfortable, air-conditioned transport included on every trip from Dubai.

● Hajar Mountain views

f0

Cruise Through the Musandam Fjords

No Musandam tour is complete without the dhow cruise through the fjords. As your traditional Omani dhow moves through the water, tall limestone cliffs rise on both sides, some reaching over 1,000 meters above sea level. The water is turquoise and clear, the mountains are dramatic, and the whole setting feels completely different from anything in Dubai. It is easy to see why Musandam is called the Norway of Arabia.

● Towering Limestone Cliffs
● Crystal-Clear Waters

f0

Dolphin Watching in Khasab Musandam

The waters around the Musandam peninsula are home to large pods of spinner and bottlenose dolphins, and sightings on our dhow cruises happen regularly throughout the year. Musandam dolphins are wild and free, they come to the boat on their own, often swimming right alongside the dhow just a few meters away. For families with children, seeing dolphins this close is usually the highlight of the whole day.

Snorkeling & Swimming in Musandam

Secluded bays along the Khasab coastline are home to reef fish, sea turtles and coral formations that are easy to see even from the surface. Snorkeling equipment is provided on board and our crew is always there to help first-time snorkelers at every stop.
